Owned by Peter from Woodbridge, ON
I first got interested in sports cars and muscle cars because my Dad owned a service station in Waterloo and we sold the highest octane gas.
My first car was a 1972 MG Midget and I bought it with a seized engine. I learned a lot from my Dad and my brother who helped me restore it. Then I moved on to an MGB and a few Chevelles.
I always loved the Shelby Cobra and did lots of research into the various kits. The one I bought was this Superformance where the chassis was built in a factory in South Africa. Mine was one of the last few to enter Canada. It has a Roush 402 which has over 500 horsepower. It is crazy-fast and the “growl” when you turn the key is one of my favourite sounds in the world.
The most fun thing about this car is watching peoples’ reactions if I take them for a ride and let it loose a little bit. And it’s also great just to let strangers, who are admiring it, sit in it and take their picture.
