Vintage Car of the Month

Posted On March 1, 2018

Owned by Ron from Innisfil, ON.

I bought the car in California 32 years ago and drove it home to Canada. It had no rust and ran very well.

After 16 years I decided to give it a paint job as it was a “Ford” color and I did not like it, so I had it painted “Candy Apple Red”. I started to sand it and realized that the trim had to be removed, then the glass. Then I built a rotisserie and started to do a “body-off” process which led to powder blasting all the paint, “top & bottom of car”.

Then, I decided to modify the chassis and bring it up to today”s standards and powder coat it to “Candy Apple Red”.

One job led to another and finally the body & chassis were finished. Then came the Italian Leather Interior, all the chrome work & finally, after 10 years, it was finished.

The car has won many awards from “Best Car” to “Favorite Car” in various car shows.
