Vintage Car of the Month

Posted On October 1, 2013

Owner: Gary Weldon, Millgrove, ON.

“I bought the ‘48 in 1993 as a retirement gift to myself and rebuilt it as I was driving it. It was taken off the road for major changes :ie. body and paint, drivetrain changes , etc.

The motor is a 364 inch Buick with an automatic transmission and 9” Ford differential.

The chassis was updated with IFS, power disc brakes, power steering, AM/FM radio et cetera.

The truck was used routinely including towing the race car until 1991 when it was retired and is now only driven occasionally.

A great hobby vehicle!
