I purchased my 1967 Chevy Camaro RS in 1983 at the age of 18 and entering my first year at college. It had been a long time saving and searching for a number matching U.S. car. I’m now 60 and have owned her for the last 42 years.

Built in Van Nuys California and shipped to Texas as ordered, she spent 15 years there with two owners. The journey came north in 1982 for a third and first Canadian owner from whom I purchased her and became the fourth owner in 1983.

My Camaro is an original numbers matching 327 cu in 350 HP with a Muncie M21 four speed and Chevy ten bolt 373 rear end and still boasts the factory crank, cam, pistons and heads with 93,574 original miles.

I stripped the paint to metal in 2000 and recovered her in base / clear original Nantucket Blue with the true R/S striping and trim details. New badging, emblems and weather stripping courtesy of EARLY BIRDS.

Time passed on, and saving for a home then unforeseen financial constraints forced me to properly store her for a total of 24 years on and off.

Having recently turned 60, it was time for the long awaited resurrection of “ DUKES 67 “
I enlisted the help of my long time building crew at Pro Street Automotive in Whitby .. true masters at their craft. The attention to detail and results over a two month build were nothing short of overwhelming.

Upgrades include .. QA1 Coil Over front suspension, Wilwood 4 piston front discs, Cold Case aluminum 3 core rad, dual plane aluminum intake, Holley Sniper 2 EFI with matching ceramic coat fuel tank and internal pump, Flowmaster American Thunder
2 1/2” custom exhaust, subframe and fender wells blasted and powder coated, custom hand fabricated steel fuel lines plus all the additional crafted wiring, hoses etc.

For a bite, the Camaro locks up on 15” Weld Draglite 90’s wrapped in Cooper Cobra GT Radials with Lakewood traction.

This is finally the Camaro she needed to be!
